Broadcast queue is one of the most powerful control for corporate communication. This week it received an update enabling assignments to be scheduled in advance and remain in the queue for up to 90 days, before they are approved for the broadcast. This extension will allow better management of the assignments and offer project managers more flexibility on the approval process. The update affects all assignments, no additional settings need to be configured.
ScheduleInterpreter® has been offering ability to edit the invoice line items for extended period of time. This update brings next level of sharing edits with customers. When REVISED option is kept on (default state), the invoice will feature per-line credit and debit entries. This helps accounting team and customer accounts payable representative to quickly identify assignment ID and the amount of credit or debit that has been applied. ScheduleInterpreter® keeps track of all modifications with date and time of change as well as staff member who made the change. The option is available for all subscribers.
This update addresses the issue associated with delayed broadcasts due to extra long push notifications. Push notifications should only be used as a short message, attracting attention of a linguist to see updates using On the Spot! or login to the account. Many of our subscribers configured push notifications the same way as SMS/MMS messages. This, in some conditions, may delay or even cancel the delivery of the entire broadcast. Starting from April 8, 2023, ScheduleInterpreter® will automatically reduce the title of the push notification to 60 characters and the content of the message to 240 characters.
This update addresses the issues related to the broadcasts scheduled for delivery at specific time. Under special condition, an event may have been updated and the paperwork for the event was added to the broadcast queue. However, the event was then rescheduled or cancelled. When specific broadcast, for example daily new assignment notification, is being processed, it is also processing other broadcasts queues. An event that has been rescheduled or cancelled will interfere with the scheduled broadcast, and in some conditions will not allow global broadcast to continue. This was "self curing" as events would expire and daily scheduled broadcasts would resume normal processing.
New version of ScheduleInterpreter® Connect will become available to all subscribers. There are many improvements in speed and functionality. The upgrade will take place at 6:00 am US Central time and service may not be available until 6:05 am. As a result of upgrade, your stored session might be reset and Connect will ask you to re-authorize. No other prerequisites exist. The new version is fully compatible with current group and private (direct message) channels and teams.
When necessary, subscribers of SheduleInterpreter® can now display a letter next to the invoice number, indicating the version or edition of the invoice. The version indicator uses letters, starting from letter A and has no specific end requirements. Each time an invoice undergoes a correction of any type, the platform will automatically increase the version indicator. Indicator can be used together with REVISED tag. To include the version control indicator, use DOCUMENT DESIGNER and add {invoiceVersion} keyword anywhere in the layout of the invoice header.
It is very common for multiple assignments completed by the same interpreter to overlap in time. When series of assignments are distributed across multiple accounts and multiple linguists, the process of retaining accurate records becomes very complex. This update improves management of the cancelled events assigned to different linguists. New cancellation process scans the entire schedule and cleans overlapping records if they are present in the platform. All future assignment modifications and QA process will utilize newly created records.
Standby status has recently been added to the ScheduleInterpreter® platform, and it's an important addition for both interpreters and clients. This new feature is designed to help manage interpreter resources with greater efficiency, and to provide better coverage for assignments that have been cancelled or completed in a shorter time than expected.
