First stage of On the Spot! updates is done - current version is now 4.1.4

With focus on stability and user experience, development team updated On the Spot! application to version 4.1.4. Major improvements in handling background tasks, image processing for receipts and paperwork. These updates affect only Android platform as it has been more prone to inconsistent performance, due to varieties of phone manufacturers and models. Interpreters should see better performance when using data connection with low quality signal.

With new requirements of Android 8 as the lowest version, and current pace of updates, On the Spot! started to show improvements on stability. Now Google statistics on crashes is showing these numbers in easy to review chart. Starting from July, 2023 when updates for the server side started to improve application performance, September release of Bach Edition helped to make the line go towards the ultimate goal of no or few crashes. The next iteration of updates within version 5 will further improve stability and provide new options. New version will pave the way for interpreters to use their mobile devices with better and more advanced tools, and more options. |
