ScheduleInterpreter® completes another set of updates for integration with Epic EMR platform. Updates include better synchronization of cancelled patient appointments and documentation of the updates in ScheduleInterpreter® Journal. Another update enables option to prevent rescheduling of events or update of the start time. This helps to adjust time of arrival for the interpreter without making changes in the Epic platform. The updates further improve automation of the interpreter scheduling process.
The Internal Revenue Services announced an increase in the standard mileage rate for the final 6 months of 2022. An update is posted to prevent travel times of vendors to be omitted in the ADP payroll data file. The issue surfaced after an internal update that improved code referencing for statistical and reporting purpose. No need to make any changes. Proceed with usual processes or create data file for a given period.

After initial roll out of the virtual interpreting service details in On the Spot! it will now be a separate custom field and can be configured using account center. Custom label, sort order and stage of the interpreting assignment will define if interpreter has access to the information. The information includes platform name, phone, pin or password, and link. Currently we can only display the link and recommend the linguist to use e-mail notification with active link.

When you enable this feature, ScheduleInterpreter® compares the actual work time, account minimum billable, and assignment minimum billable. If work time is less than or equal to account minimum billable, assignment minimum billable can be used for billing. Assignment minimum billable can be set up either in the assignment Control Settings or Review Center.
Update brings two gender descriptive keywords apptVendorGenderRequest and apptConsumerGender to provide all particpating parties with options to be aware of gender specific interpreting assignments. Platform keywords, previously available in notifications after interpreter is assigned, now can be used in early communication with the client. All keywords are available in the help tray on the right side of the communication center.
